Common questions, answered.
Everything you need to know before sending a track. Don't see your question? Email info@get-that-sound.com.
How does the free test master work?
Every new account gets one free test master. Create an account, upload your premaster, brief the job. I master a section so you can hear the result before paying. 60 seconds of your track, full chain, no card required.
What's your turnaround?
Standard mastering: 48 to 72 hours. Stem mastering: 3 to 5 working days. Mixing: 5 to 10 working days. 24h fast-delivery is available as a paid checkout add-on.
How many revisions are included?
One revision round is included with every paid mastering, stem-mastering or mixing job. Additional revisions are 30 EUR each. Comments and notes are always free.
What file formats do you accept?
WAV or AIFF, 24-bit or 32-bit float, at the original session sample rate (44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz). MP3 is fine for reference only. See the Premaster Delivery Guide for full prep instructions.
Where are my files stored? Are they private?
All audio is stored in private cloud storage with access control. Only you and I can download them via signed, expiring links. Files are never publicly indexed.
How do I pay?
Secure payment via Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA). Work begins after payment is confirmed. Free test masters do not require payment.
Do you charge VAT?
I currently operate under the German Kleinunternehmer rule (§ 19 UStG), so prices do not include VAT. This is noted on every invoice.
What genres do you master?
Specialty: electronic dance music, with a focus on minimal, tech house, deep house and afro house. I also master adjacent electronic genres (techno, melodic house, progressive) and have experience across pop and alternative when a project calls for it.
What is ThuMP?
ThuMP is my in-house mastering processor, a one-box final-stage tool built from real mastering experience. It is currently in private, invitation-only early access. Request early access from the ThuMP page.
Can I cancel an order?
Until work has started, yes, full refund. Once mastering has begun, refunds follow the cancellation policy in the AGB and Widerrufsbelehrung.
