/ ThuMP · Quick manual · 1.0.47

Play the loudest section, press LEARN,
A/B, refine, TRUE PEAK on, print.

That is the whole workflow. Everything else in the full manual is depth.

  1. 01

    Install and insert.

Run the installer, restart your DAW, and insert ThuMP as the last processor on your master bus — after your EQ and colour, before nothing.

  2. 02

    Start the evaluation.

On first open the licence dialog appears. Connect once and click Start 30-day evaluation. The full processor is active for 30 days and then runs offline.

  3. 03

    Play the loudest section.

Cue the drop, the final chorus, the densest minute of the track — the part the master will be judged by — and let it play.

  4. 04

    Press LEARN.

The button counts down LISTENING for 20 seconds and keeps only the loudest 15-second span, then shows MATCHING while it settles. Keep the music playing. ThuMP stages the whole signal path to your material, then pulls the output back to your pre-LEARN loudness so you can judge the sound, not the volume.

  5. 05

    A/B it.

Your previous state was parked in the inactive A/B slot. Press A/B to hear before / after at matched loudness. Everything LEARN set is a starting point — refine any control by hand.

  6. 06

    Shape to taste.

Thump for weight, Punch for impact, Sparkle for air, Width for image, Sculpt for low-mid clarity. Watch the band GR rings — a couple of dB on the kick is usually plenty.

  7. 07

    Print safely.

Engage TRUE PEAK for a self-contained delivery with a 0.0 dBTP maximum, then use OUTPUT to set how hard the master drives into it. The LOUDNESS card confirms: INTEGRATED on target, TP MAX green, PUNCH Δ holding. Bounce.
